Work in Two Dimensions

Before I delved headlong into 3-D artwork, my earliest interests were drawing and photography. Drawing has always been a part of my life, and its primary manifestation into presented artwork has been painting. I still pick up the paint brush from time to time, and in the last few years, have been bringing some of my more interesting doodles to the canvas.

Similarly, photography was a hobby since middle school, shooting on my first camera, an Olympus OM-1, which I purchased with lawn cutting money. I had access to a darkroom in high school, further developing my skills until I switched majors in College.

Post college, I found it difficult coping with the loss of the University sculpture studio. In the more than a decade since graduating, I found renewed interest in drawing, and collage work. This medium allowed me to vent creative energy on and off over the years, however, until building my own studio, it was merely transient in my body of work.
